MAASive at APMS 2025 – Special Session on Enhancing Value Chain Resilience

From 31 August to 4 September 2025, the MAASive consortium participated in APMS 2025 in Japan, co-organising the special session “Enhancing Value Chain Resilience through Digital Technologies”.

MAASive General Assembly Meeting, Aarhus | 16–18 September 2025

From 16 to 18 September 2025, the MAASive consortium gathered in Aarhus for its third General Assembly meeting. Over three days, partners reviewed project progress, shared insights from ongoing pilots, and planned the next steps for MAASive’s development.

From 4 to 7 August 2025, the international conference TEMSCON Global, organised by the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS), took place in San Diego, California.

The IFAC MIM2025 – 11th IFAC Conference on Manufacturing Modelling, Management and Control, held in Trondheim, Norway (June 30 – July 03, 2025), offered a rich platform for dialogue and dissemination on the future of sustainable and resilient manufacturing systems.

MAASive at ICE/IEEE ITMC: Advancing Resilient and Service-Oriented Manufacturing.

The MAASive project – Manufacturing-as-a-Service for Industrial Value Enhancement – played a central role in the Special Session titled "Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) and Smart Manufacturing Networks: A New Era of Supply Chain Resilience", held during the ICE/IEEE ITMC Conference, in Valencia, Spain (June 16-18, 2025).

Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) is emerging as a transformative model for the future of manufacturing, and MAASive project is at the forefront of its development within the European industrial landscape. MAASive – APMS Call for Papers: Resilience and Manufacturing as a Service in Future Value Networks

The APMS 2025 Conference (August 31st – September 4th, 2025, Kamakura, Japan)

 is inviting researchers and professionals to submit papers for special sessions on topics like digital platforms, circular strategies, AI, supply chain resilience, Industry 4.0 & 5.0, and sustainability. This is a chance to contribute to the future of sustainable manufacturing, logistics, and supply chains.

MAASive Consortium Meeting – Fostering Resilience with Manufacturing as a Service.

MAASive partners are meeting in Hamburg, from March 11th to 13th. 

TUHH (Technische Universität Hamburg) is hosting the second consortium meeting of the MAASive project. The event is bringing together again all the partners involved, providing a valuable opportunity to get to know each other, strengthen collaboration, share results and discuss further steps.

11th IFAC/MIM 2025 Conference: Strengthening Manufacturing Resilience through MaaS

The MAASive project continues to advance toward more resilient and adaptive production systems. Our team is making significant progress in developing simulation-based costing approaches to support the Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS) model. A major milestone is that our recent findings have been accepted for publication at the MIM 2025 conference, marking a strong recognition from the international research community. 

MAASive at HumanTech Day 2: advancing relient manufacturing

On January 23rd, 2025, Politecnico di Milano is hosting HumanTech Day 2, a major event that brings together 170 researchers for a series of seminars and workshops.

HumanTech – Humans and Technology – is a research initiative funded by Italy’s Ministry of University and Research (MUR), with the objective of redefining traditional models of technological development by integrating human, social, and environmental dimensions alongside economic factors. 

MAASive Models for Resilient Value Networks through Manufacturing as a Service.

A new methodology, mapping risks and capabilities for resilient supply chains, is going to be presented at Hamburg International Conference of Logistics (HICL).

As part of the MAASive project, which aims at developing models of resilient value networks to allow the assessment of impacts of unforeseen events and to servitize existing manufacturing assets, a new methodology has been developed.

MAASive visits Turkey: Exploring Resilience and Manufacturing as a Service at Arçelik Türkiye.

The MAASive project will have the incredible opportunity to tour the Beko headquarters, a key brand of Arçelik A.Ş. From exploring their state-of-the-art Innovation Hub to witnessing their production process this will be an inspiring experience. Partners will visit Arçelik A.Ş.'s warehouse and labs, and will have the chance to experience and learn about their advanced technology and automation. 

MAASive meets in Istanbul: advancing resilience through manufacturing as a service.

From September 3rd to 5th, KOÇ University ANAMED Center in Istanbul is hosting an important consortium meeting of the MAASive project. The event is bringing together all the partners involved in the project, providing a valuable opportunity to strengthen mutual understanding and collaboration, share results, and discuss further steps.

This is a three-day event during which participants are discussing challenges and future opportunities, sharing ideas, solutions, and common goals. 

MAASive Research on Resilience in Production Systems Presented at SAGIP

As part of the European project MAASive, Centrale Nantes has the pleasure of presenting the project work, performed on resilience in production systems, at the Association SAGIP. 

With this presentation, the MAASive project reaffirms its commitment to promoting innovative solutions that can strengthen the resilience of European production systems.

MAASive at the Spring Servitization Conference 2024.

This week, Antonio Masi, researcher at Centrale Nantes, is going to attend the Spring Servitization Conference 2024. 21 papers will be presented in this occasion and discussions will be moderated on seven research posters.

He is also going to present the paper “Manufacturing-as-a-Service and Servitization: an Ambiguous Relationship” co-authored with Gianluca Tedaldi and Margherita Pero, professor at Politecnico di Milano (partner of MAASive project),
