Manufacturing-as-a-Service: Building a Resilient and Sustainable Future for Europe

MAASive was delighted to participate in the MASTT2040 / EFFRA Workshop in Brussels, joining researchers, industry experts, and policy leaders to explore how Europe can foster a more resilient and sustainable manufacturing landscape.

Our keynote, delivered by Prof. Ann-Louise Andersen of Aalborg University, presented MAASive’s vision of “Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS)” as a framework for dynamic and distributed manufacturing networks.

Drawing on recent research and cross-industry collaboration, MAASive introduced a forward-looking methodology for:

• Servitising manufacturing processes to increase flexibility and resilience

• Enabling circular value chains capable of adapting to disruption

• Supporting the twin transition toward a greener and more digital Europe

MAASive extends its appreciation to the MASTT2040 and EFFRA teams for organizing such an insightful and future-oriented event, and to all participants for their contributions to shaping the next generation of European manufacturing.
