Strengthening Manufacturing Resilience through MaaS – MAASive Project

The MAASive project continues to advance toward more resilient and adaptive production systems. In Task 2.3, our team is making significant progress in developing simulation-based costing approaches to support the Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS) model.

These innovations are essential for enhancing cost estimation accuracy and improving decision-making processes within MaaS ecosystems. By enabling dynamic and reliable economic evaluations, we are laying the groundwork for more resilient and flexible value networks.

A major milestone is that our recent findings have been accepted for publication at the MIM 2025 conference, marking a strong recognition from the international research community. The “Cost estimation in the context of Manufacturing-as-a-Service" (Abdoune, Farah) paper can be found on our website page about Publications: https://www.maasive.eu/publications

As we move forward, these developments reinforce our commitment to shaping a digitally enabled, service-oriented manufacturing landscape. By integrating simulation, cost intelligence, and flexible service models, the MAASive project is paving the way for next-generation industrial resilience—where Manufacturing as a Service is not just a concept, but a cornerstone of robust, future-proof value networks.
