MAASive at APMS 2026 – Enhancing Value Chain Resilience through Digital Technologies
At APMS 2026, MAASive organised a special session on “Enhancing Value Chain Resilience through Digital Technologies”, featuring eight papers on resilience discussed across two session slots.
Among the contributions, Franco Chiriacò presented research conducted within MAASive, co-authored with Margherita Pero and Francesca Bianchi, examining how resilience capabilities across manufacturers and suppliers influence one another.
The findings show that supply chain resilience emerges as a systemic property shaped by interactions among capabilities across firms. Flexibility and velocity emerge as key driving capabilities, while collaboration appears as a dependent capability. Redundancy, meanwhile, appears relatively isolated from the other capabilities examined.
The study contributes to a deeper understanding of inter-organisational resilience and provides managerial insights for supplier selection and resilience assessment at the supply chain level.
