MAASive Research at IFAC 2026 – Dataspaces for Supply Chain Control

Research conducted within MAASive explored how dataspaces can improve supply chain control through secure and sovereign data sharing.

The study, “Dataspace-Orchestrated Inventory Supply Chains Control: Relationship between Due-Date Quotation and Dynamic Multi-Sourcing Allocation”, authored by Francesco Alessandro Cuzzola, Walter Quadrini, Elisa Negri, and Marco Taisch, investigates how enhanced visibility of inventory levels, production capacity, lead times, and outstanding demand can support due-date quotation and dynamic multi-sourcing decisions.

Using a multi-tier supply chain simulation, the research compares conventional control based on local information with a dataspace-enabled approach. The results highlight the potential of improved data visibility to enhance due-date reliability and order fulfilment while supporting resilience under demand fluctuations.
