Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) is emerging as a transformative model for the future of manufacturing, and the MAASive project is at the forefront of its development within the European industrial landscape.

 

To support wider understanding of this concept, the project has released an official concept video that offers a concise and accessible introduction to the key principles of MaaS, illustrating how this approach addresses the growing complexity and dynamism of today’s manufacturing environment. The video outlines the fundamental value of MaaS as a strategic framework for building more flexible, resilient, and sustainable value networks. It also demonstrates how MAASive is translating this vision into practical action, through the integration of advanced research and real-world implementation across diverse industrial contexts in Europe.

 

MAASive aims to reshape the manufacturing ecosystem by fostering intelligent, trust-based collaboration among stakeholders. This service-oriented paradigm supports European companies in navigating digital transformation and global uncertainty, while enhancing long-term adaptability and competitiveness.

 

The project is funded under the Horizon Europe programme and is developed by a multidisciplinary consortium of academic institutions, industrial partners, and technology providers, including Aalborg University, Politecnico di Milano, Hamburg University of Technology, Centrale Nantes, Kamstrup, Arçelik Türkiye, Arctic, Industrie ILPEA, SmartOpt, TXT GROUP, and ETK EMS GROUP.
